Louise Lyons-Appiah is a passionate advocate for mental health, personal development, and equality, known for her dynamic facilitation and public speaking. She co-founded BreatheUni, a student-led mental health initiative, before transitioning into independent consultancy. This journey led to the creation of Synkora Consulting, where she combines lived experience, gamification, and active learning to disrupt outdated EDI approaches.

Louise has worked with The Foreign Office, Superdrug, Mental Health First Aid England, and HSBC, delivering impactful talks that inspire change. Featured on Sky News, she champions mental health and inclusion in the workplace. Through Synkora, she is redefining EDI—moving beyond compliance to genuine transformation.

Tanya

Tanya Marwaha is a multi-award-winning mental health, disability, and EDI advocate, recognized for her expertise in cultural competency and intersectionality. She founded Championing Youth Minds, a global youth-led mental health initiative, before transitioning into consultancy. This journey led to Synkora Consulting, where she integrates lived experience, storytelling, and innovative learning methods to create meaningful and lasting change in organizations.

Tanya has worked with Baton of Hope UK, the NHS, and leading corporate organizations, delivering impactful talks on suicide prevention, mental health, and inclusion. As a TEDx speaker and trustee, she is committed to shifting the EDI landscape from tick-box exercises to transformative action.
